Goondiwindi is the place where my story began. I grew up in one of the seven almost identical Ash homes that roughly followed the course of Brigalow Creek just a few kilometres north of the town.

In recent years I have had the opportunity to revisit my experience of this former property (now part of the Glenn Oak precinct). These works are a very subjective response to the house, the landscape and the changes evident there over time and generations.

Although these paintings began as a response to a specific landscape and way of life, I hope that the underlying themes that relate to our unfolding lives and the passage of time bear relevance to others.

It is a privilege to have the opportunity to exhibit these works in the same town that inspired them.
