In the 1980’s I lived alone for a year in a hut near the small town of Conondale in Queensland. It was bare floored and very crude. All the old furniture took on a bodily presence - Genoa sofa’s (nude or dishevelled), slightly crazed heaters, lonesome night fridges. They remain inevitable images that could not not be.
